Unit Objectives
  • Plot a scatter diagram and draw a line of best fit through mean point with and without GDC [4.2] (Video 7.1)
  • Using GDC calculate and interpret PPMCC r [4.2] (Video 7.2)
  • Calculate linear regression line using GDC [4.3] (Video 7.3)
  • Use linear regression line to make estimations [4.3] (Video 7.4)
  • Perform a chi-squared test for two variables using a GDC [4.4] (Video 7.5)
  • Perform calculations for expected frequencies by hand [4.4]
  • Calculate degrees of freedom and use them to figure out critical chi-squared values from a table [4.4]
  • Interpret level of significance in a critical value table [4.4]
  • Use p-values from GDC against the level of significance to determine outcome of test [4.4]
  • Show working for calculated chi-square value (not in exam, only for project) [4.4]
